The lesions or tatoo of the smallest dimensions require
less impulsions: those of large dimensions demand more.
All tatoos demand multiple treatments, those which entail
several visits on the part of the patient. The system
of lasers is less painful than certain other methods of
treatment, and the recuperating time is less.
The level of discomfort varies according to the person
and their pain threshold. Most patients do not need anaesthetic:
however in certain cases, according to the site and the
nature of the tatoo or of the lesion, the doctor can decide
to resort to choosing any form of anaesthetic.

Is it possible to remove a tatoo or lesion already treated by another method ?
Patients whose tatoos have been treated previously can be candidates for treatment by means of the laser.
Tatoos or pigmentary lasers which have not been effectively removed by other treatments can react positively to laser treatment, on condition that the preceding treatment has not caused scars or excessive skin damage.
Is it necessary to take
certain precautions after treatment ?
Immediately after treatment, one can apply an ice compress to relieve the treated zone. An onguent or an antibiotic cream is recommended. During the first days following the treatment, it is necessary to avoid rubbing the treated zone or to utilise abrasive cleansers for the skin.
A dressing or a band-aid can be utilised to prevent abrasion of the zone treated. During the treatment, it is recommended to patients to protect the treated zone by means of a sun block approved by the treating doctor.
